Our trip begins in Le Marin in Martinique . This is the perfect starting point for a cruise through the Lesser Antilles.
In Martinique we are still at home in Europe,
can provide the boat cheaply and find a perfect infrastructure in the immediate vicinity of the port.
There are also daily direct flights from Paris.
After we have thrown off the lines, the journey begins
towards the south. The first big destination is St. Lucia with its unmistakable, picturesque, almost 1000 m high pitons.
From Marigot Bay we explore the island with its volcano and the unmistakable Caribbean charm. The trade wind guarantees pure sailing fun, and when we sail along the lee coast, it always gives us a safe anchorage.
The next stop on our journey will be St. Vincente .
A stop in Wallilabou, the location of “Pirates of the Caribian” or in Cumberland Bay is a must. You will recognize the scenery and the distinctive rocks .
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" will cast its spell over you when we drink our rum punch at Antoni's Pirates Retreat.
From here we sail on to Port Elizabeth on Bequia , the gateway to the Little Grenadines. For me this is always the most beautiful part of the Windward Islands. Here we sail in the turquoise water between the picturesque, small dream islands lined with white beaches. We visit Mustique, the island of stars and starlets. In Basil's Bar , Mick Jagger didn't just sit at the table next to us once.
From here, further south, we sail to the Tobago Cays . Petit Tobac is another location from "Pirates of the Caribbean" that you will surely remember.
The islands of the Lesser Grenadines represent the symbol of the Caribbean - fine sandy islands, bathed in crystal clear turquoise water, palm trees and a lush underwater world.
Of course, a lobster dinner on the beach of an uninhabited island is a must.
Union Island is the turning point of our trip. From here we make our way back to Martinique in relaxed daily stages.
The Caribbean way of life with its music, the exotic spices, smells, the zest for life and this irrepressible joy in life usually lasts for a while and leaves behind a new attitude to life even after years.
